The mission of the Christian Awakening is to reverse the decline in Christian commitment and church attendance in America; create a resurgence in the power and influence of Christianity over culture and politics; expand the participation of Christian citizens in public affairs; and build Christian unity across racial, cultural and denominational lines to preserve and defend America's Judeo-Christian values and heritage.

The vision of the Christian Awakening is an America where Christians and churches are growing in number; reaching new people to help them live fulfilled and productive lives; expanding the influence and power of Christianity in all dimensions of life - family, community, education, business, law, politics, media, entertainment and culture; impacting government and private institutions to respect and encourage Christian values; and uniting Americans across racial and cultural lines as "one nation under God."

For the last eight years we have watched our nation denigrated and divided. Our unique Judeo-Christian culture has been eroded as the world was told that America is not a Christian nation; the National Day of Prayer was excluded from the White House while Islamic celebrations were invited in; our military was undermined and our police attacked; God was expelled from a national political convention; but blasphemously invoked blessing the genocidal Planned Parenthood - practitioners of infanticide.

We have been set against one another on the basis of race, gender, income and the politics of envy.

Parents seeking to protect their children from sexual predators who might take advantage of the new gender fluidity are called bigots and haters. Institutions which seek to uphold the sacredness of unborn human life and the sanctity of marriage as God defines it are classified as hate groups.

Our own government determined that if you are a returning veteran from war or a regular church goer you might be a a domestic terrorist.

Now we are told that the Flag, our National Anthem and prayers are being replaced by a virulent anti-American hatred for our country, which we are supposed to believe is the epitome of racial and social injustice.

The Founders are to be erased from history because most of them as products of their time, owned slaves. Apparently, our history is to be erased all together so that all symbols of the Civil War and slavery are to be destroyed. This is not the behavior of a free nation, but the symptom of a creeping totalitarianism. First Amendment rights on college campus no longer extend to speech some students don't like.

We are to renounce the notion of America as a providential nation. In the minds of some we are not even a legitimate nation. We have no right to define borders or set standards and processes for citizenship. Those who would illegally cross our borders and sell drugs to our citizens, traffic in young girls or murder our people, have been allowed to do it with impunity.

We have endured this nightmare for eight long years. We will endure it no longer.

The seeds of this confusion have been planted for a generation or more, while the church was asleep. Christianity was once a primary cultural influence in America, but surrendered that role to other forces which did not have the nations best interests at heart. It is time for a Christian Awakening to resume that important role once again.

It is time for Americans to return to God, church, family, community, educational excellence and productive work. As we stated in the booklet entitled Benefits of Christian Living:

“Family, work and education are all provided to give our lives structure and direction, but without God they become sources of frustration and unhappiness. Faith in Jesus Christ makes people happier and healthier - physically and emotionally. Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life and have it to the full until it overflows." (John 10:10 Amp.)

Many Americans dread the start of each day instead of looking ahead with joyful anticipation. They turn to alcohol, drugs, pornography, Illicit sex and even crime, seeking the satisfaction that eludes them. They try to find meaning in homosexuality, transgenderism or a racial or political identity. They pierce their bodies, cover their entire bodies in tattoos or dress provocatively in misguided expressions of freedom. They kill their own children in the womb to escape responsibility for their actions. Psychiatrists and counsellors are inundated with patients who cannot handle problems of their own making. Prisons are packed with inmates who could not live by the rules. Each day people - young and old, rich and poor, from all races - choose suicide as a way out of their pain. Yet God is there every moment, offering love, forgiveness and comfort to all. Jesus said, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

The benefits of faith in Jesus Christ and regular church attendance and participation are well documented. Things really do "go better with God." What we need is to awaken Americans again to the benefits of faith, but we must also sound the alarm to warn of the societal devastation which results from rejection of God.
